Pastor "Sandy" has served at Plantsville UCC since February of 1992. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ, graduated from Haverford College, received a Master of Music degree from the Univ. of Washington in Seattle, and earned his Master of Divinity from Princeton Seminary. Before coming to Plantsville, Pastor Koenig served in various positions at five different congregations, ranging in size from 100 to 5000 members. Rev. Koenig and his wife Susan feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful congregation.
Kathy, her husband Fred, and her three children Josh, Ian, and Hannah, joined the Plantsville United Church of Christ in 1995. In 1999, Kathy became a member of the church staff, serving in the role of Pastoral Assistant. As a member of the pastoral staff, Kathy shares her many talents throughout the life of the congregation, and brings special gifts to her minstry among the church's youth. Kathy is currently attending Andover Newton Theological Seminary in prepartion for her ordination into the ministry, expecting to graduate in the Spring of 2010.
Mrs. Caroll Cyr Church Secretary Caroll is a life long member of the Berlin Congreagational Church and has served as their Director of Christian Education for more 10 years. She and her husband David have two children, David and Gabrielle. Some of Caroll's likes/hobbies are sewing, crafts, gardening, the beach, pets and spending time with her family. Dawn Crane Sunday School Administrator
Dawn has been a member of PCUCC since 1989 and has faithfully served as the Sunday School Administrator since 1997. A life long member of the UCC, having grown up in the East Hampton Congregational Church, Dawn received a B.S. degree in Social Work from SCSU in New Haven, then went on to attend CCSU where she earned a second degree in Business Management. Dawn and her husband Bob have two children, ages 13 and 15. She enjoys working with the Sunday School children and adult volunteers in building relationships with the families of the church.
Joined the Plantsville United Church of Christ in 1993 as Director of Music. Chris studied church music, organ, piano, composition and choral conducting at the Hartt College of Music of the University of Hartford. Chris began his musical studies at the age of 12 with the late Charles King of Meriden during which he concurrently studied organ, piano and music theory.
